Out of Words

Out of Words is a high-speed category game from Queen Games that turns the traditional word-search genre on its head. Instead of just finding the "best" word, you are racing against a ticking clock and a shrinking pool of options.

Out of Words is a cooperative game in which the whole group tries to achieve the best score possible.

Each round, one player has to get the others to guess a specific word using as few words as possible. Clues consist of single words, and each clue must start with a letter from a 5x5 grid. If the group doesn’t guess the correct word, another clue may be given – up to five in total. Once the word has been guessed correctly, or after the fifth clue without success, all letters used from the grid are removed.

The game ends once the grid is completely empty. Players then count the number of words they successfully guessed.

In addition to this basic mode, Out of Words also includes a couple of extra challenges for ambitious groups.

• Disappearing Letters: A unique "vanish" mechanic adds thrilling time pressure that standard word games lack.
• No Waiting: Simultaneous play ensures everyone is engaged at once—zero downtime between turns.
• Easy to Learn, Hard to Win: Simple rules make it accessible for families, while the speed keeps it intense for pros.
